I -finally- found a piece of luggage to bring with me on the trip. It is allegedly just inside the acceptable dimensions for carryon for Frontier, but we'll see what happens. It is sturdily built, and should make the trip okay. I just don't wanna deal with checked luggage, and this seems to be about right.

I'm nervous about the actual journey, but Todd seems to think everything will work out just fine, and I know I'll be well seen to when I get there.

I have no idea if I'll be able to personally update this journal from Sunday until I return on Tuesday -- but if I can find a way to, I will. And I'll take a lot of pictures, too.

I spoke with P@ul Schu!tz yesterday.

He apologized to me for some stuff he did. I had managed to mostly let it go anyway, but wow, it was sure nice of him to acknowledge what happen and try and put things right.

A year ago today, P@ul Schu!tz had his gastric bypass surgery.

At the time, he was around 287 lbs, and in fear for his life due to mobility and respiratory problems.

Today he weighs around 155. He ran a 5K marathon at the end of April. His cardiopulmonary system is functioning beautifully, and other than the current inconvenience of having a stress fracture and a cast on one of his ankles, his mobility is fine, too.

As my regular readers know all too well, Paul and I have not always seen eye to eye, and frankly, when it comes to certain things, I don't think we ever will -- but I cannot let this occasion go unacknowledged.

Paul, I'm proud of what you've done, and I'm glad you're going to get to see those amazing kids of yours grow up.

Now if YOU would only grow up, we'd be cooking with gas. :-P

Okay. Sorry for the late post today -- it seems like the hurrier I go, the behinder I get. :-)
