This is my safe space

This is where I post, where I dream,
where I hurt, and where I recover.

TwoBob Fender

Friday, Jun. 01, 2007 - 12:08 a.m.

Ronn Owens was on the air a couple of mornings ago and noticed the Fox feed out of the corner of his eye, and thought they were doing a piece on Cindy Sheehan.

Then he looked with his better eye, and saw it was Phil Spector.

This juxtaposition leads me to again state the fact that Keith Richards and Phyllis Diller have never been seen together.

The whales, Delta and Dawn, seem to have made their way out to the ocean, and did it when nobody was looking or clanging or vaccinating them or bubbling at them.

Heh.

---

Congratulations to 13 year old Evan O'Dorney, a Bay Area resident who won this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Three cheers for homeschooling!

---

Andrew Speaker -- the carrier of the virulent strain of tuberculosis, who was told not to travel upon being diagnosed and flew all over hell and creation anyway -- is a personal injury attorney.

Because of that, I am not going to express my feelings about what he did.

---

I went downtown yesterday and had lunch with John and Bob Lai. Bob recently did me the tremendous favor of transporting the Bob Chance Fender to the SF Bay Area for me -- and surprised me by purchasing a case to put it in.

Not just a cardboard case like the one I have for the folk guitar -- this is a traveling case. As in, sturdy enough to check.

Words fail me.

However, the guitar has a nickname now. It's called the TwoBob Fender.

NASA dude Michael Griffin rocks.

Don't let the bastards get you down when you SPEAK THE TRUTH.

---

By the way, to everybody I bumped on the bus yesterday, and that waiter at Orale Orale -- thanks for understanding.

I apologize again.

---

Okay, that's it. I'll do a Friday Five on Saturday or something.

Happy June First!
