Hot Weather & Dreamcoat Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 - 1:12 a.m. Last night I had the pleasure of chatting online for only the second time with none other than John! He wasn't sure he could keep up, but he did a good job. Thanks, hon, that was fun! --- Hey! Who out there was looking me up by name from Belle Chasse, Louisiana? Bueller?... Bueller?... Identify yourself to me, please, or I'll block your ISP as there's been a predator harassing me on and off for five years now. Thank you. --- Yesterday's answer was The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! Thanks to everybody who played. :-) --- Yesterday, the Texas Rangers hung a 30-3 victory on the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore was ahead 3-0, then the Rangers scored five runs in the fourth inning, nine in the sixth, 10 in the eighth and six in the ninth. This was the most one-sided victory since 1897. --- Today is Thursday and tonight I fly home. It's been as good a visit as it can be with temperatures about fifteen degrees higher than they usually are, and a fifty degree difference between where I was and where I'm going. Dave, you've been a marvelous host in spite of the heat, and everybody down here is always a pleasure to see -- but I need some cool weather for awhile. I'll be back here in October, though, with hopefully a better-than-this-time heat index. --- Have a good Thursday. ---
