Leave No Trace - I Dare You Saturday, Sept. 08, 2007 - 12:24 a.m. Marcia Mae Jones passed away. She was 83. She was the gorgeous little auburn haired round-faced thing who played Klara in the Shirley Temple version of Heidi. Shirley also got to dump a dustpan full of ashes on her in The Little Princess. I loved both movies dearly, and I am nostalgic at her passing. --- Racy pictures of Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical have surfaced on the Web. She's only eighteen right now. While I'm not compelled to see the pics themselves, Here's a paradox for youse: If she took the pictures of herself before she turned eighteen, does she get fined or go to jail? --- Bay Area talk show host M3lanie Morg@n has seen fit to complain about the Burning Man attendees daring to use Interstate 80 at the same time her bundle o'patriots caravan was traversing that same stretch of road. "These teenage dreadlocked navel-gazers were clogging up traffic on the freeway and slowing down our patriotic caravan of freedom lovers traveling to 27 rallies all across the country with a proud pro-troop message." Well. Isn't this a wonderful and kind woman. How nice. Burning Man has been taking place for many years now, and is always always ALWAYS announced in plenty of time so that non-interested parties may make travel arrangements to circumvent the associated traffic jams. No offense, but it was THE CARAVAN'S FAULT for not doing their homework and planning accordingly. I wonder how the ex-military participants in Burning Man feel about what M3lanie said? And while I'm at it, I challenge anybody anywhere to find a Pr0mise K33pers rally -- or, yes, any pro-military rally that is as equally ecologically friendly. Burning Man strives to be a "No Trace Left Behind" event, and they've been doing it since before Global Warming was invented. How much trash is M3lanie's caravan of minions generating along the way, I wonder? And yes, I munged her name, because she's been known to attack bloggers before. --- I think that's it. Have a good Saturday. ---
