Off The Scale & Canada Day Tuesday, Jul. 01, 2008 - 12:48 a.m. Solange was meowing a whole bunch in the waning hours of Monday night, until right before midnight when she seemed to calm down. About a minute after she quit meowing, Dave got home, and we all convened in the kitchen to graze. I happened to look in the direction of the cat's litter box because it was starting its cleaning cycle, and saw why Solange had been so noisy: The Litter Maid was scooping up a dookie the size of my fist, and I found it hard to comprehend that a pile of processed cat food that big had been riding around in the cat for the better part of the day. Poor kitty. She's been quiet into this early morning, and that glassy look is gone from her eyes. --- Then, while I was composing this post, by what can only be described as more than a passing coincidence, I hit the randomizer in Wikipedia and found something called the Bristol Stool Scale. If you know what your number is, keep it to yourself. :-) --- And finally, for those who observe it, Happy Canada Day. Please do not be offended that I've grouped a holiday wish with the above subject matter. ---
