Podulation

Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 - 12:59 a.m.

I've done everything that I've been asked to do regarding the PayPal refund for the counterfeit iPod.

Still waiting on that. I'll give them until Monday before I tighten some more thumbscrews.

Just after noon on Friday, somebody came knocking, knocking at my door.

It was UPS, with a delivery from one of our regular electronic stores.

I called John to tell him a package got here and he said "Oh, good. It's for you. Open it."

So I did -- and I am now the proud owner of a REAL Third Generation iPod Nano.

And I don't think I'll have to go to Berkeley to authenticate this one.

No sir -- it seems that I have a husband here who is the real deal.

Ashley Todd, a twenty-year-old McCain supporter, told authorites she was attacked and disfigured with a letter B by a black man who threatened her and vowed revenge on her for her McCain bumper sticker.

She turned out to have faked this whole story.

This is the sort of crap I swear vengeance on, when I'm in a vengeance-swearing mood.

And I happen to be in one right this very minute, so here goes:

I want this woman to feel the pain of every other woman in this world who has ever been attacked or abused in any way, and then not been taken seriously.

I predict that when her karma is finished with her, she's going to need a very good therapist specializing in survival guilt and ghost limbs.

Friday Five from here:

How did you feel yesterday?

With my hands.

What kind of obstacles do you face?

This pile of crap around my chair.

Who is a good friend?

A good friend holds your hair out of the bowl when you are barfing.

What is your fondest memory?

Any of them that are still left, at this point!

Does time always kill pain?

On an emotional level, we develop coping mechanisms, but as for actual physical pain? Depends on what it is.

The link is above.

That's it! Have a wonderful Saturday.
