Practice & Cat Sunday, Apr. 19, 2009 - 2:24 a.m. Yesterday, I went to Vallejo and eventually to Vacaville to practice with Alan's band. It went pretty well, considering that the drummer didn't make it and I'm still having trouble singing loud enough. We're going to get me a wind screen, experiment with different mic setups and I'm also going to try and remember to eat the microphone and belt out the higher notes. The next practice is 'Sunday a week.' --- Cat news: Laila is home now. Here are are her most recent three writeups here, here, and here. The last two links have pictures, including one of the cat's drumstick with a pin in it. It's a nice clean fix. Laila and Solange are slowly getting to know each other. Hopefully things will all work out. --- I am, of course, going to ask my readers to consider sending a donation to cover Laila's vet costs. There is no amount too small to send, as long as it can be measured in dollars and cents. In a few days, Dave will be mailing me the vet bill, and I'll scan it and put it up here so you can see what's been spent where.
I'll have a new donation tally for you in the next post. Also, special thanks and grateful appreciation to Jim Hudnall for mentioning Laila in his blog. --- All right. Practice was great on Saturday, but I'm bushed. So, that's it. Have a good Sunday, and thanks again for the good kitteh wishes. ---
