Scales Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004 - 5:15 a.m. Practice your scales: Yesterday afternoon, my songwriting partner Todd Thalimer and I spent a couple of hours in IMs, and I think the days for my trip out to Colorado have been set. I want to travel out there on the train, but I still don't know. Whenever the gods smell spare money around me, they do all sorts of wacky things, so Toddy, if you're reading this, knock on formica. :-P --- Scales at work: I had a lovely conversation the other night with Jamie Lord. He mentioned that the upright scale where he works was set for kilometers when he had been weighing himself, and not pounds. We're not sure if this is good news or not. More bulletins as events warrant. --- Scales of Justice: Dear Mr. President -- I don't want to vote for a Democrat, I really don't. But you've forced my hand. Requesting a Constitutional amendment that restricts the rights of one out of every ten adults of this nation is something I cannot support. So. I'll hold my nose and vote for whichever Democrat is still standing, come November. --- And finally -- the storm was beautiful. Semi-private to somebody: Don't be afraid of the coming storms. If all else is chaos during this time of change, may you always know that I am your friend, and part of your foundation. -- Today's Earworm: "Don't Give Up" -- Peter Gabriel, along with Kate Bush. ---
