Dietwatch, Day 28. Monday, Mar. 15, 2004 - 2:07 a.m. Yesterday was Sunday, and it was a day of rest. Saturday was hectic, but a lot of work got done. On Sunday, at the end of the day, we drove down the Great Highway at a snail's pace, because nine times out of ten it's a snail's pace kind of traffic experience at the end of a Sunday afternoon out there when the weather is this spectacular. When we got home from our shopping expedition, I made szechuan beef (with rice for John), and we watched "Interstate 60". It was a relaxing day. --- Today is the twenty-eighth day of my dietary change. With the exception of two Ritz crackers I ate the night I had the migraine and was trying to find a method of ceasing to puke my purple guts out, and a couple of breaded chicken strips with the breading mostly scraped off -- I've not deliberately ingested any sort of bread, or flour, or crackers, or pasta, or peas or carrots, or breakfast cereal -- for four weeks. I've lost 22 pounds. My skin has cleared up. I can breathe properly for hours at a time. I can also peel paint with nothing but my breath, but there's things to take for that. --- Cheri arrives on Thursday. This place finally looks like a guest would be comfy here. :) ---
