Food Stuff

Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 - 12:12 p.m.

Today's post is food-related.

I don't know why, as I had a big dinner last night and I'm having a big breakfast as soon as I'm done here, but here goes.

---

So here's today's horoscope from AOL.

Dear Brin,
Here is your horoscope
for Sunday, September 25:

It's so easy to take out your frustrations on a supersized value meal with extra fries, but think of how you'll feel afterward. Sure, being bloated and greasy will distract you from your emotions, but far better for your health to deal with them now.

Yeah yeah. Listen here, you horoscope you, I have lost over fifty pounds since I reduced my flour and sugar and carbohydrate intake. I've kicked ass and taken names, weightlosswise. I don't wanna hear it from you.

---

But speaking of food, I need a flavor favor from you all.

I'm looking for a seasoning that I can sprinkle across my cheese chips to make them taste like barbecue potato chips.

Does such a thing exist?

Also, I'm looking for Rockin Rogers Barbecue Sauce. It's based in Connecticut if I remember correctly, but I haven't seen any out here in any of the gourmet shops since Williams Sonoma stopped ordering it. Does it even exist anymore?

Any input appreciated. Thanks.

And yes, I've already checked this section of the Hometown Favorites website.

---

We're sheltering in place again today, because there's some sort of gigantic hippie dippy festival over at Golden Gate Park, which is only a few blocks away, and every love child in the western United States will be there, after trawling around looking for cheap or free parking. We're afraid to open the garage door lest some stranger comes roaring in in a 73 Super Beetle and steals a spot.

---

Have a good Sunday!
