More Pictures Friday, Nov. 04, 2005 - 8:28 a.m. Here are some more pictures from the trip. You can see John's Maynard goatee pretty clearly in this one; we are on the train at Disneyland: When I looked over at the Matterhorn, I saw something there I had never seen before, which is almost impossible to see in the picture, but I'll try to share it because it's so unusual -- there were people belaying down the side of it using climbing gear! We went through the Haunted Mansion at night, when the outside was illuminated with thousands of the best flickerbulbs we had ever seen: This really is a wonderful ride at this time of year. --- On Monday it was finally time to head back, and after a terrific lunch with Dave, we went to the airport, turned the car in with no problems, made it through security just fine, took off pretty much on time, and about ten minutes after takeoff, I leaned over to the window with my camera and took a picture of a famous Southern California landmark. It's right in the middle of the picture, so see if you can see what I snapped: The plane landed and we took public transit home. While waiting on the platform over by the Oakland Coliseum, I noticed that we were having a nice sunset. We got home about two hours after we landed, and we had no trick-or-treaters. --- Later today, I'm off on a personal adventure of sorts. I'll tell you about it in tomorrow's post. --- Okay, that's it! Have a good Friday. ---
