At Last, Some Pix!

Thursday, Nov. 03, 2005 - 2:00 a.m.

I decided not to write up a moment by moment description. I've been promising pictures for a week.

So, without further ado, here they are. Images will take a while to load, so, be patient. :-)

On Thursday, my favorite attraction at Disneyland was the reworked Haunted Mansion. It's been tricked out in the theme of 'A Nightmare Before Christmas':

And here's Dave in the Lego store in Downtown Disney on Friday...

Saturday found me and John at the Cero's Halloween Party, dressed as beatniks:

John very graciously grew a Maynard G Krebs goatee for his part of the costume, and although you can't tell in the picture, I had dyed my hair black earlier that afternoon. The temporary dye scared the daylights out of John when it spattered the hotel shower tiles and curtains to an extreme degree. We stayed in character as beatniks for the entire evening, choosing to snap our fingers instead of applauding when the band finished a number. I was appalled at the number of people who had no idea who or what we were; the guesses were interesting and ranged from Sprockets to the French resistance.

The dance floor at Cero's was as crowded as I can ever remember it being. I took one pretty good picture of the crowd, and you can see one of my favorite 'couple costumes': Look in the middle, and you can see the wife dressed as a bag of Colombian coffee beans, and her husband dressed as Juan Valdez. There's an older gentleman in a floral shirt near the front right side of the picture; that's John, and the left arm on his shoulder belongs to his wife, Irene. John and Irene have a combined age of about two hundred and seventy five years, and they've danced us into oblivion every time we've ever been there and made an attempt to keep up with them:

There was a raffle that night, and I won a stuffed bunny.

At the end of the night, Dave's friend Charlie showed up, and wanted a picture of me with Dave.

I'll have some more pictures to show you in Friday's post.

Have a good Thursday, kids!
