RuGiu & Monday Question Monday, Aug. 06, 2007 - 6:32 a.m. This was a blessedly quiet weekend, during which John finished the final Harry Potter, and I performed the first mixdown too iTunes (and subsequently to CD) of the songs that will be appearing on my next album. John loved the final book and really enjoyed those last hundred blazing-fast pages. As for me, a few of the mixes sucked, soundlevelwise, which is what I needed to find out, so there's going to be significant do-overs in the works for the forseeable future. --- I saw a headline over the weekend which read as folows: "Bush Visits Wrecked Minnesota Bridge" which looked odd to me. John didn't see it, but that's okay. The wording of the sentence looks as if ongoing visits by the president have been determined to have caused the collapse. --- At some sort of swanky party in the Hamptons last week, Yoko Ono jokingly said she was making a sex change. My first thought was, "Oh? From what to what?" But then it turns out she was just going to change her clothing from feminine to more masculine for the rest of the evening Um. Yeah. --- I figured out who I might be inclined to vote for. Rudy Giuliani. Not for the excellent job he did after 9/11 and not for his states rights stance and not for the fact that he doesn't oppose Roe V Wade... But because apparently his latest wife Judith is a loaded cannon. She looks like she would be fun to have as a First Lady. --- Monday Question, courtesy of Question of the Week, from the Memes List to the left:
I've been living apart from everybody for many years now and made to feel guilty about that whenever my mom's side of the family could find an opportunity to do so; I'd have to say I was surprised at the similarities between all of the kinfolk at the Landerman Reunion several years ago. If you mean which parent, I'd have to say I'm most like my father. Or at least I try to be. If you want to answer this question in your own blog, go ahead. --- Okay, have a good Monday, if at all possible. ---
