Absolute Power, Indeed

Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2008 - 12:55 a.m.

Just a very short time ago, I mentioned the Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer.

I said something about him not being the person he appears to be.

This man, who puported to have a clean reputation and whose main interest in the public eye was to get rid of corruption anywhere he thought he saw it, has been busted for involvement with a prostitute.

Here's an opinion piece from Canada's National Post that sort of sums it all up better than I ever could.

And of course, it's all over Google News.

There's just some stuff that is impossible to make up, and even more impossible to wish for.

But this? This really really reinforces my faith in a higher power.

Heh heh heh...

---

Speaking of dirty politics from New York -- Gosh, it seems that the Billary machine mentioned a powerhouse ticket containing both of the names of the Democratic candidates.

Obama was not amused at this attempt to cash in on his likeability and coattails, and made it clear that he wasn't interested in the job of Vice President.

I'm so glad I voted for him. Yes, he's inexperienced, but then again, so was George Washington, so deal with it.

---

That's it. Not a long post today -- I've been having too much fun reading the news.

This stuff isn't quite as good as a fallen minister, but it certainly comes close.

Have a good Tuesday, and if it's your day to vote in the primaries, do it.

Don't leave the decisions to other people.
