Five Days Away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 - 12:18 a.m. Sweet cranberry monkeychunks! There were sure a lot of people on the roads today, and it was the mid afternoon before people left for home. And, mercifully, the fans in the car were working beautifully. Dave is a conscientious and careful driver during the highest percentage of our outings, honest he is. There is a small exchange which I think needs a little work, though... Me: Dave, would you please put your shade down when you're driving into the sun? They say the great test of a person's fortitude is to be driven around as a passenger as they themselves have been driving. Heh. I long for the day, readers. I long for the day. --- Solange has proved to be amusing in the last day or so. Dave clipped her claws and she's been scratching... er, I mean *gumming* every vertical surface in the entire western hemisphere trying to figure out what the heck happened. She does forgive him at mealtimes, though, of course. --- Friday, we got lots of things accomplished, and Dave even went out and stalked and killed some stuff from the place we've come to call Cheap Chinese. Sorry, that's not it's name, but that's what kind of food they sell. --- I head back to San Francisco on Sunday night. Even though it's been a slightly abbreviated visit this time, it feels like lots got done. That's it for now; have a good Saturday and if you have to head to a mall, be safe. ---
