Hammer Time Monday, Mar. 02, 2009 - 12:33 a.m. Last night, John and I watched Interstate 60, and on a whim, I checked to see if it was on iTunes. It IS! But the darn software needed to be upgraded, and on a land line, an iTunes upgrade took two hours! Wheeeeeee! It will be worth it, though. --- John and I never made it to Wondercon, but somehow we didn't feel too badly about missing it. We are both old and infirm now, and are pondering whether the intensity and glare of current comics fandom even appeals to us anymore. If I am not certain that specific friends are going to be there, then frankly -- meh. I guess we didn't feel like getting off our lawn. --- Although I gotta say I'm looking at the web page for a convention I used to work with and they need somebody to run the info booth, and that The Itch is still there. Fortunately, I've taken the advice of one TV Smith and now metaphorically carry a small ballpeen hammer around to hit myself on the head with whenever I think of working with certain fan groups. There's an accounting term called 'diminishing return' that keeps coming to mind. --- Okay, that's pretty much it. Have a good Monday. ---
