Friday Five & Clicks

Friday, Mar. 13, 2009 - 12:58 a.m.

Hey, thanks to all who have been clicking on my latest two banners. These are the best clickthrough rates I have seen in more than a year.

I really appreciate that!

---

Yesterday, John took the day off and he took me to the DMV. Thanks again, dear!!!

I got my ID card renewed, and I have a receipt in case my scheduled travel takes place before my card actually gets here.

Fingers crossed that I don't have a yechhy picture to look at for the next seven years.

Wow, the prices have gone up since I last got one; in SF CA, an ID card now costs $24.00.

---

It was still a nice day, and even strangers were remarking on it to each other.

No allergy problems, either. I really really enjoy this time of year.

---

I found an older Friday Five that was interesting, and it's even possible I've done it already, but I'm not going to weed through and check, so here ya go:

Do you enjoy reading?

Yes.

What is the first book you remember reading?

I think the first long book with little or no illustrations was 'The Black Stallion' by Walter Farley.

Who is your favourite author?

If you really really really insist on making me choose one? Forget it. Can't. However, a few of my faves are Mark Twain, Stephen King, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Gene Stratton-Porter, William Shakespeare, Harper Lee, JK Rowling, Amy Tan, and Garrison Keillor. These are in no particular order, and the list is missing some people, I'm sure.

What is your favourite book?

To Kill A Mockingbird, which is NOT racist.

What is the last book you read and the first you'll read next?

See above. I read it on my flights.

Links to the left for the various and sundry memes.

---

That's it. Have a lucky Friday the 13th!
