Sunshine Hydraulics Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 - 4:24 a.m. Howdy from Anaheim. It's been raining here since Sunday evening, when it began just as Old Buddy Dave and I were heading over to Disneyland to see our favorite Elvis impersonator, Scot Bruce. His show takes place at Tomorrowland Terrace, which is the stage that raises and lowers as part of the presentation. The hydraulics involved are just a little older than God, and can't get rained on. So, Scot was toast. --- But -- we'd seen him on Saturday night. And I saw somebody else, too. About a week ago over on Facebook, I looked up his set times, and wrote that I'd be down in the dance area in front of Tomorrowland Terrace for the 8:30 show of Scot Bruce on Saturday, just to see if any of my friends there were paying attention. Dave and I were in the announced place and time -- and I ran into Big D and his wife in the crowd. Yes, he'd seen the post and yes, he and the missus made the trip from LA to try and find me. I haven't seen Big D in almost twenty years, since I'd moved away from Chico. His wife is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and the two of them are perfect for each other, which puts my heart at ease. I'd always hoped he'd end up with somebody as special as he is, and he's done that. --- That's pretty much it. Have a good Monday. And if there's sunshine where you are, be grateful. ---
