Behind The Times Sunday, Mar. 28, 2004 - 9:50 a.m. Yesterday evening, we had the pleasure of dining with the elusive but always good to finally run into Br1@n Cl@yt0n. We went to the Denny's in Pacifica. As you are tired of hearing about by now, I'm doing a low-carb diet; I ordered a bacon cheese burger and dissected it and divided my side dish (onion rings) between John and Brian. The waitress saw how I'd arranged my meal, and said "Oh, you're doing low-carb! I am too! I coulda brought you some broccoli or something; just say something next time." Then she went on to say that in a few more weeks, Denny's would be rolling out a low-carb menu. She thought Denny's was getting on the bandwagon a little too late, but still, it was something I sure know *I* would appreciate. Our meals came to less than thirty dollars for the three of us, but I really appreciated her knowledge and attentiveness, so we left a ten dollar tip. :) --- Dave Marron shared the following link with me about that deadly chemical, dihydrogen monoxyde. And yes, I know what this deadly chemical really is, thanks. :-) --- YAY! Jamie and I have a movie date set for tomorrow at five my time, eight his time. --- And finally -- I decided to confoogle this diary just a little bit and add some more color. Do you like the changes? I'm sorry it's not a great big-ass picture of Beyonce or Sean Astin or anybody like that, but hey. I guess I'm just behind the times. :-D ---
