Fanime Monday Tuesday, Jun. 01, 2004 - 2:27 a.m. Monday was a bittersweet day. I said goodbye to my favorite customers, and bought myself and John a membership apiece for next year. Even though we are not going to be dealers, we still support Fanime Con, and what it means to the people who attend. It did turn out to be quite profitable, though. Whew. --- I'm extremely tired and emotionally drained. It was the last time I did so many things this year. The last time I helped with booth breakdown... the last time I balanced the books and re-set the cash box... the last time I watched John walk away from the table and forget to take a radio... Overall, it was a marvelous weekend. Arduous, but very good. --- One of the highlights for me was sitting at the table and then seeing a surprising but familiar face. The last two times I mailed cookies, the same lady was behind the counter at my local post office. She's got a wonderful smile, infinite patience, and a deadly fast sense of humor. So when she walked up to me and said "Don't I see you down at the Geary Post Office?" -- it blew me away. --- I will write more after I've had some sleep. In the meantime, I will be going to see Keane tonight with Brian. Yay! And again in Colorado next week with Toddy! Yay Yay! --- Okay. When I am typing Yay as a filler, it's time to go to bed. ---
