Post-Op Cat Exam

Friday, Apr. 24, 2009 - 12:50 a.m.

Later today, Laila Cat goes for her first post-op exam.

It's been a week. She hurts a little less every day, but Solange's playful overtures are still not quite welcomed.

However, the fact that playful gestures are being made is wonderful.

Some more donations have come in, bringing the total up over $900.00.

Thank you guys so much!

Here are three of my and Old Buddy Dave's earlier writeups about Laila here, here, and here. The last two links have pictures.

---

As I keep repeating, I will be happy to provide paperwork and receipts to anybody who asks about this.

Do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have the slightest concern as to the veracity of what's being written here, or if you are wanting to know more specifics about what your donations are paying for.

The stack of vet paperwork is right next to me in an envelope, and if anybody wants to see the specific itemized list of expenditures, let me know.

---

In other news, I just found out that the Mike, the bassist in Alan's group, has a regular gig here in San Francisco, and I'm going to try and stop in and see him and cheer him on.

And looking at the sentence, I have caught myself. This all seems so surreal still.

That should read, ...MY BANDMATE Mike, the bassist, etc etc

Anyway, that's what I'm planning to do in a couple of days; go see him play with one of the other bands he's in.

So far, he's been giving me really good advice and guidance.

---

Nothing else to report -- again, eternal thank yous for those who have donated to Old Buddy Dave's Cat Repair Fund!

And for those who have not donated cash, I know you have been thinking good thoughts for the new member of his family.

So, thank you as well!

---

That's it. Have a good Friday.
